From Calais
we take the excellent French autoroute to Abbeville where we will stop to
'fill up' both the cars and us.
After this
we stay on the autoroute as far the Pont de Normandie where this fabulous
bridge 'flys' up and over the Seine Estuary and offers a terrific panorama.
Shortly
after the bridge we leave the autoroute and drive in to the seaside town of
Honfleur - where we will probably meet up with our French Friends - and here
we shall stop for lunch.
Then its
a drive along the coast to Caen across the bottom of the Cherbourg Peninsula
to Pontorson and the Hotel Montgomery - our base for the next three nights.
