All the above prices are based on an exchange rate of £1.00 = Euro1.38 and have been rounded up/down. All hotels are half board but drinks are extra. I anticipate that we will cover close to 2000 miles so allow for petrol and oil for that distance. *Health and breakdown insurance is highly recommended.*
On top of the above one has to add petrol and oil for approximately 1500 miles plus insurance as well as drinks and lunches, tea breaks etc.
Final Rider 05 September 2005 Having now received all of our credit card statements our total spend for the 11 nights/12 days was £1973.02 - this was for all related bills including Euros and petrol purchased before leaving on August 20th so takes into account such things as the excellent German Cake and Coffee! This was for two people sharing one car and a twin/double room throughout. I does not include health and breakdown/recovery insurance as we have a 'blanket' cover for both of our cars and our caravan for the whole year and for as much travel as we wish - so allow about another £60.00 for two people and a car.
