Today we drive along the Mosel via Cochem, direction Koblenz, but we cut across the Hunsruck at Brodenbach to Boppard on the Rhine, which we then follow upstream to Oberwesel then 'inland' into the vineyards to the Gashaus and Weingut Stahl where we shall stop for lunch then back on to the Hunsruck driving via Idar-Oberstein, a centre of precious stone mining and polishing arriving back at our hotel in time for the wine tasting (optional extra) and evening barbeque.
